2026/2027 Pre-StarSkate
Schedule: Tuesday 5:15-6:00pm and Thursday 5:00-5:45pm
- Session 1: September 1, 2026- October 22, 2026
- Session 2: October 27, 2026- December 17, 2026
- Session 3: January 5, 2027- March 11, 2027
Cost: $240.00 per session plus one annual $65.00 Skate Canada Registration Fee (Skate Canada Registration is valid from September 1, 2026-August 31,2027). Only one Skate Canada membership needs to be purchased if you register for multiple sessions.
This cost includes lesson coaching fees.
*Skaters will be required to wear helmets until they have passed CanSkate Stage 5.

Pre-StarSkate Program Overview
Pre-StarSkate (PreStar) is a designed to help skaters make the transition from CanSkate to StarSkate. The program is designed to teach the elements of figure skating in a group lesson format. It offers opportunities for skaters to develop figure skating skills while still passing their CanSkate and StarSkate levels and adjusting to how StarSkate is run.
To participate skaters must be invited by a coach or board member.
The program is taught in a group format during regular StarSkate ice. This is beneficial to the skaters as it is a transition from CanSkate to StarSkate. The 45 minute session will consist of two 15-minute lessons and 15 minutes for the skaters to practice individually. There is a max. of 3 skaters in this program so the lessons are a semi-private group lesson. Coaching is included in the program fee.
With Pre-StarSkate, skaters who are ready will move onto to our StarSkate program if they pass the required levels. There will be prorated fees for skaters who move up within the skating season to StarSkate.
